    Percy Jackson hated Athena’s guts.

    How anyone could stand the goddess was beyond him. Sure, her kids respected her, but she was their mom, and for all Percy knew she was his cousin, which fit her just fine. That one annoying cousin during family reunions who everybody hated but pretended to like for the sake of family.

    But Percy didn’t necessarily want to think about Athena technically being his cousin, because he feels absolutely zero familial feelings towards Annabeth.

    What he felt for her was something much, much stronger.
