Summary
Hongjoong has never actually wanted a human sacrifice. Yes, he is the kingdom’s patron god, and true, he did demand the life of the youngest prince a few decades ago, but that was just a trick to get Seonghwa away from his awful family and free to become Hongjoong’s consort. Summary
San focuses on breathing and maintaining the calm image he’s pretending to have right now as he prepares to talk to Yeosang for the first time in nearly five and a half years. Unlike Soomin, Yeosang holds more than just apprehension in his gaze. And San sympathizes. This isn’t the time nor the place to ask any of the questions he has.
“Teacher Jung is in the classroom with the other students, but hopefully you’ll be able to meet him at pick up or later in the week. Unfortunately, since we just got the rest of the students settled this is as far as you can come, but I’ll give you a moment to say your good-byes and I promise Soomin is in very capable hands.”
