Summary
Neil opened the blister pack and shook out a pill, placing it under his tongue to let it dissolve. The unpleasant taste coated the back of his throat, and Neil accepted the water bottle Wymack handed him next to wash it out.
“Tetsuji called,” he said. A peace offering as he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand.
Wymack’s face set into a frown. “When?”
“This morning." The grin he gave was habit rather than a side effect, bitter and defeated. "The Ravens are coming south.”
Wymack went still, and then cursed, a show of weakness no coach worth his paycheck would allow.
“There goes the championship.”
“Like you ever had a shot at it. The Foxes are the worst team in the nation.”
Neil expected anger for being out of line, but Wymack only side-eyed him.
“I’ve got a piece of paper that says you’re a Fox," he said, like it was a rebuttal, rather than proof of how far Neil had fallen. "What does that make you?”
"Delusional,” Neil replied with a pointed shake of his pills.

Summary
But as with all things, dreams must come to an end, so Nahida sighs and focuses on more important matters. Such as, the stunned girl with white hair sprawled on her knees, leaflets nestled in her braid. She looks up at Nahida with a completely bewildered expression. It’s like looking into a mirror.
Nahida looks down. Black knee length shorts.
“Oh. Whoopsies.”
“Whoopsies,” Scaramouche says, and her own voice comes out. “That’s all you’ve got? Whoopsies?”
Sometimes, getting to know a person is to walk a mile in their shoes, literally. Other times it’s taking pictures of the things you like, and going for joyrides in the middle of the night. It’s about finding a friend you never knew you needed, in the last place you’d ever look. About wishing you were worth sticking around for, and realizing you were enough all along.

Summary
Neil Josten has spent his entire life trapped inside a high-security compound, undergoing extensive training to be a spy and wishing for escape. Summary
"It was Riko’s fucking idea to go out tonight though, so Neil isn’t even going to pretend he’s at fault for this. Riko has done this before, hired people outside the Nest, it takes away the few days he gets outside of the Nest, effectively ruining the small shred of freedom he and the rest of Riko’s perfect court are provided. It’s just that tonight, Neil wasn’t in the right headspace to just take it, and now he’s in a jail cell and someone’s fucking dead.
Neil doesn’t even remember if he did it or not."
