2026. This can't be happening. He opens the phone camera with shaking fingers. His face is reflected on the screen, but it's not his face, it's older and more angular and his bedhead's a completely different sort of mess than what he's used to. Which means—which means—
Akira Kurusu wakes up ten years in the future, blissfully married to his would-be murderer.

Summary
"Tell me detective, have you read any of Hegel’s works?”
Ren blinks. That’s... not the question he was expecting. “I’m afraid my foray into German idealism begins and ends with Kant.”
“Well, Hegel was famous for positing that every thesis needs its anti-thesis,” Akechi responds, face smug. “I believe our conversation made that clear.”
“Are you calling me your other half, Akechi-san?,” Ren purrs, running a gloved hand down Akechi's arm. “My, how forward of you." Flirting is familiar territory for Ren. He can do this.
Akechi’s grin grows wider. “I don’t know, Ren-chan. Why don’t you give me your number and we can find out?”
He cannot do this.
Whisked away to Tokyo to serve out his probation working for the corrupt politician he accidentally crossed, Ren struggles with maintaining a clear conscience while fulfilling his duties and living the life of a celebrity detective. Meanwhile, Goro, a transfer student with a chip on his shoulder, is reluctantly roped into leading a group of teenage misfits in his pursuit of vengeance.
Pushed together by fate, the two find themselves unable to stay away from each other.

Summary
In his heart, Akira feels that familiar tug towards the man standing in front of him. It was the same feeling he’d gotten when he met Ryuji, Ann, and Morgana for the first time. Like Tokyo’s star Prince Detective was a key part in his story. It forces the hairs on his arms to raise as goosebumps begin to spread across his body, and Akira knows with a shiver that a bond is about to form.
He smiles at Akechi, handing the bag back to Ryuji wordlessly and ducking his head. “I’d like that. And please, just Kurusu is fine,” Akira replies while he pulls out his phone.
“Very well,” Akechi replies easily, and as they exchange contact info, the distinct feeling of a forming bond clicking into place resonates in the back of Akira’s mind. He reaches for the bond and finds it easily. Justice, it’s labeled as. Of course.

Summary
“We need to talk about this. And I don’t just mean you leaving” --Ren raises a hand, cutting off Akechi before he can finish opening his mouth-- “I mean everything.”
“It’s pointless. I’ve already told you as much.” Akechi rolls his eyes and digs a crumpled lens rag out of his pocket. “After I’m gone, none of those things will matter anymore. If you think that your usual brand of brainless sentimentality will work on me, then--”
Just then, as Akechi unfurls the glasses cleaning rag, something clatters to the ground between them. Their heads turn to follow the sound in unison, and both discover the source at the same time -- an incredibly smooth, thumb-sized rock.
They raise their eyes again, steel gray meeting dark auburn.
Akechi’s Adam’s apple bobs under the collar of his turtleneck. “...Please let me explain.”Sometimes, if a rock is smooth enough, it can drag a man out of hiding and force him into a secret shared custody agreement with the guy he's hiding from -- and what Yusuke doesn't know can't hurt him.

Summary
The Phantom Thieves have nearly secured their route through Maruki's Palace. There’s only one section left: The Twilight Corridor. A paradise where everything is perfect, and everyone is always smiling.
In order to enter that place, the Thieves must first prove they've "completed orientation" and can be "happy." There are points, there is a scoreboard, and they’re locked together in an experimental space where wishes can be granted by simply saying them aloud. Everyone has to individually earn 100 happiness points, or no one is leaving.
So what is “happiness,” really? How does Maruki define happiness? What the hell is a quantifiable happiness point? Is there any way around this? Don’t these stupid kids realize this is a trick to get them to fall back into the thrall of Maruki’s reality? And why can’t Goro earn any fucking points?
(Or: I've been watching too much Dropout Game Changer and I’ve built an Akechi torture chamber.)
Includes illustrations by the amazing engraved!
