    “Hello?” She answered, expecting a telemarketer.
    “Hello,” a polite voice replied. “Is this the residence of Wei Ying?”
    Jiang Yanli’s her grip on the receiver tightened. “It is,” she replied calmly, waving at Wei Ying to get his phone out. “This is his sister. May I ask who is calling?”
    “I suspect you know the answer to that,” the man said. His voice, though smooth and pleasant, sounded tired.
    “Lan Zhan?” She guessed, turning to see Wei Ying staring at her instead of calling the police. She tried to urge him with her expression.
    “No,” the man replied. “I am afraid my younger brother is in no position to make phone calls, or perform illegal spellwork for that matter.” He didn’t just sound tired, she realised. He sounded… heartbroken. “He has been in a coma for some time, and the doctors do not believe he will last the night.”

    The one-shot series Sweater Weather, revised and polished as a chapter fic! Posting on Fridays!

    This fic takes place after the Hosu arc and skips straight to the kids moving into the dorm. This is my fun little interim AU wherein the kids get to deal with their emotional baggage and interpersonal drama without having to actively fight for their lives, at least for a little while. Sweater Weather is 100% a self indulgent comfort fic, diving right into all the classic tropes of mutual pining and hurt/comfort. It started off as a series of one-shots, but as the chapters go it becomes more detailed and cohesive. I hope it makes you feel cozy!

    Midoriya Izuku has a hoodie that he wears all the time in the dorms, and Shouto is suddenly and irreversibly gay. A collection of domestic moments of Shouto settling in to dorm life with his classmates.

Shouto’s hand grasps at Izuku’s hip where a waistband just barely meets the edge of a shirt; if lets his thumb twitch just a little, he can feel the skin there, warm and alive beneath the pads of his fingers."
