Carlos De Vil hadn't ever given a thought to love.
Not beyond that given between a parent and their child. And even then, that sort of love hadn't ever been gifted to him.
But in the coming years, marked between the meeting of an actual Prince and a forgotten quest to retrieve a staff - Carlos had once or twice eclipsed the idea of 'that sort'. Finding, in truth, a much more unattainable and dangerous desire beyond it.(Non Descendants 2 or 3 canon-compliant).
