Summary
It's Summer Comiket 2026, and Nagipo-chan convinces her best friends, Renakoala-chan and Moon-chan, to cosplay with her as characters from one of her all-time favorite anime and light novel series, Ascendance of a Bookworm.
Renako-san recalls that her girlfriend Ajisai-san wanted to attend Comiket one day, so she invites her and her other girlfriend of almost a year, the international teenage fashion model Mai, to accompany them.
They all have the perfect day together, until they encounter a certain infamous T****-kun.
Now lost and alone, Renako-san wakes up in the body of a familiar girl... who she already knows suffers from a debilitating and deadly magical illness called 'the Devouring', after she had earlier watched seasons 1 and 2 of the ’Ascendance of a Bookworm’ anime to prepare to cosplay at Comiket with Kaho-chan and Satsuki-san.
