Summary
Busy lawyer Sherlock Holmes is only home for the holidays to appease his mother. After Christmas, he is probably moving to Rome. Anywhere but back to London.
Single-dad John Watson is just trying to get by. Taking care of a precocious six-year-old is not an easy job. He does not have time to be thinking about dating, no matter how often his mum texts him about it.
In a Hallmark-esque holiday romance, Sherlock and John (literally) bump into one another and stubbornly refuse to admit their feelings for one another. This is an Alternate Universe that uses a lot of details and characters from BBC Sherlock canon, just in a slightly different situation.
They're idiots in love. You get it.

Inspired by a very old prompt about Watson calling Holmes 'darling' by accident:
With my eyes closed and my head resting on the padded back of my armchair I let the haunting, lilting music of Holmes’ violin wash over me. The exquisite sounds he drew from the violin and the warmth of the fire lulled me into a gentle daydream. Even when the music drifted into silence I stayed still and quiet, basking in my cocoon of contentment.
