Angel sighed heavily. “Ya can’t go home, kid. It ain’t 1923 anymore.”
Alastor frowned.
“It’s 2024.”
Somehow that was harder to accept than the fact he was in Hell.

What if Alastor’s fight with Adam ended…differently? What if he was “purified” instead to the last moment he could have been redeemed? And, unfortunately for him, that was when he was only eleven.

“You’re always casually insulting people,” Charlie went on as though he hadn’t spoken. “Tearing them down and making them feel bad—me included! Haven’t you ever heard if you haven’t got anything nice to say, don’t say anything?”
“But Charlie!” Alastor gasped, hand flying to his chest. “I’d have absolutely nothing to say!”
He let out another shrill laugh. Really, he was on a roll.
But Charlie just shook her head. “I don’t believe that. I know you have nice things to say about people. You just need to be honest, with others and yourself.” She slipped her hand from the crook of his elbow to instead press it over his chest. With a soft smile and genuine kindness shining in her eyes, she said, “Speak from your heart, Alastor.”

Or: Charlie accidentally casts a spell on Alastor that turns all of his insults into compliments. This becomes a problem when Alastor goes live on the air to do a hit piece on Vox, who just so happens to be listening in.

“WHAT?!” Raph and Leo shout, in unison.
Donnie’s not great at the whole tone thing most times, but even he can see that there are two widely different emotions going on at this exact moment, especially the wild look in Raph’s eyes and the stupid, smug smirk on Leo’s face. The kind that usually gets more than one of them into trouble at the most inopportune times.
Mikey shakes the back of Leo’s shell. “We’re gonna be internet famous, baby!”
Or: the lives of superpowered teenage mutant ninja turtles, as seen through the eyes of New York (and, subsequently, the world).

The taller boy looked up at Max as they passed, eyes widening as he took in Max’s fur cloak and leather gloves, the clearly expensive horse.
And Max’s heart stopped.
The kid looked like- he looked- He-
'Yakko?'
Time sped back up and, as the guard caught up, Max made a split-second decision.
He moved his horse forward, straight into the guard’s path.

Max doesn't want to visit Warnerstock. He doesn't want to make nice with King Salazar, but needs must. But when it gets too much he flees into Acme Falls.
How was he supposed to know he'd meet the missing Warner siblings? He doesn't realise, not at first.
Not until news of Salazar's defeat reaches Fantasia. Not until they're all invited to Yakko's coronation.

OR: Max unknowingly meets the Warners, but the trio- Yakko especially- remembers him. Maybe happy endings are real after all.
