    “Either call Mori for a ride or walk home!” Chuuya shouted, fumbling with his keys.

    Dazai did not want to call Mori. Mori was sharp, and difficult to fool. Mori would sense something was wrong somehow and then come and pick up Dazai personally, and then once they were trapped in the car Dazai wouldn’t be able to hold it together and then Mori would be upset and then Dazai would be punished and-

    “Mackerel, come on! You’re letting the heat out!”

    Dazai looked up and realized Chuuya had left the door open for him.
