“Thank you. Recently, we’ve seen numerous reports of an unknown man with the Thunderbolts... Could you perhaps explain who this mystery man is? How can we trust that he isn’t spying on our national secrets?”
The team freezes. John sees Mel’s frantic mouthing from the corner of his eye, but unfortunately, he doesn’t have time to think about what she’s trying to say before he's blurting,
“He’s my boyfriend.”
“- my brother,” Yelena finishes at the same time.

Summary
The night flows, and even though John is tired as fuck – he spent the day with his son, helping him with football training – he feels that pleasant buzz of energy.
It’s around midnight when that kid walks in, dragging a duffel and looking like he hasn’t slept for days. Tall but built like a scarecrow, clothes a size too big, hanging off his body. John isn’t sure he’s legal. He doesn’t care that much – has work to do – but when the kid props himself on a bar stool and raises a slender hand, John walks to him and says firmly, “We don’t serve alcohol to minors.”
