It’s 7:18 when Joseph Joestar pulls up in front of Kakyoin’s house, driving a red corvette and wearing an outfit that makes him look a little bit like a yakuza boss and a little bit like a stripper. Kakyoin’s mother grips his shoulder and asks, in a low but urgent tone, whether Kakyoin is completely sure that he wants to go to this man’s house.
“I’ll be fine,” Kakyoin says, resigned. When Joseph had called to say that he was hosting a party to celebrate the successful defeat of Dio, Kakyoin had been post-surgery and filled with painkillers, and he’d agreed without much thought. That had been a month ago, and the painkillers have long since worn off, leaving him at the mercy of a 70 year old man wearing a pair of backwards suspenders.
--To celebrate the end of the SDC roadtrip from hell, Joseph throws a party at the Joestar Estate.
