“Where the hell is my coffee?!,” CEO and President of one of the biggest magazine companies in the Philippines, Sophia Elizabeth Guevara Laforteza bursts out of her office with smoke coming out of her ears. Outside of her door, Manon Bannerman stands, holding the steaming cup that Ms. Laforteza’s (former) employee handed her in distress.
Slowly, she takes a sip of the coffee – Sophia’s morning coffee – without breaking eye contact. “Don't ask me. I’m not your assistant.”
Meret Manon Sarpong Bannerman, a company import from Zurich as the Interim Co-CEO, arrives like a storm. Her job: save the company and put Sophia Laforteza in her place.

Summary
She goes to church for the first time again in years. The smell of bibingka and puto bumbong mix with the sampaguitas in the air, while the night is illuminated by twinkling Christmas lanterns. Nine days. She gives Manon nine days before Christmas to meet her at the church during simbang gabi.
She finds out Manon has blocked her from all social media when she tries to send the message, so she reaches out to her assistant and manager. She doesn’t even know if she received it. And yet Sophia sits there, in a church where she’ll never marry waiting for a woman who doesn’t have her ring.

Manon would like to believe (although Dani and others would disagree) that she can speak four, maybe even five languages. Six if counting the Korean lessons Sophia made them all take for Yoonchae. Another one won’t hurt.

Summary
It was difficult not to worry about her girlfriend flying away at night. She was the woman of steel, yes, but with her appearance came the increasing number of powerful beings with malicious intent. It was getting more and more frequent that Sophia would come home to her with cuts and bruises. Especially when the yellow sun is yet to rise, Manon would spend the night tending to her girlfriend, even when the superhero profusely convinces her to go back to sleep.
Because of course, even when Sophia is hurting, she would always, always, put others first. That's why she's the leader of the pack. That's why, for some cosmic reason, the heavens chose the woman Manon loves to fight their battles for them.
or When Manon breaks up with Sophia, but struggles to stop herself from caring whenever the hero flies off to fight bad guys.
