Summary
"We’ll take care of them, and they'll grow up tall and strong. Like baobabs, up until the sky.” Minato pauses. “Maybe without ripping the planet in two. Can you imagine if it split right in between us, and you were standing on one side, and I was on the other? And it split us apart too?”
“That would never happen,” Yori says, like it’s absurd of Minato to even suggest it. “We could never be apart.”
“Not even if the world split in two?”
Yori shakes his head. “Not even then.”
In which Yori takes up gardening, storms thunder in the distance, monsters do as monsters will, and Minato learns a thing or two about being brave.

Summary
"When we became friends, I made up a planet in my dream. We're the only ones there. In it we plant our own flowers. We eat our own food. And we grow old together. Before you found me in the tub, I tried flying back to our planet. But you weren't there. I thought you left to fly on your own. I thought maybe you didn't want all that."
A tear escaped Minato's eye.
"What then?"
"I burnt it."

“You think we could live on one of these planets? After we’re reborn?” Minato asks.
Yori gazes up at the assortment of ornaments above them. “If they grow big enough,” he says, reaching an arm up to cradle one, rotating it in his hand.
“Would you live on one if they do?”
“With you?”
Minato’s hair rubs on the seat cushion as he nods. “And my mom.”
“Would she let us?”
“I think so. She’d like you.”
Yori smiles. “That’d be nice.”

Summary
"Rain poured heavily as they left the school. Minato pedaled the bicycle through the downpour, water splashing around as he navigated the wet streets. Yori, perched on the back, glanced around, raindrops streaming down his face.
He prayed for every day to be like this, not just in summers. Yori enjoyed the chilly sensation of rain against his face and closed his eyes.
May every day be like this, sweet as honey."
