Summary
Ted squints, blinded by the sunlight reflecting off the man's golden sallet.
“Well, I saved your neck yesterday, so it would only be fair if you did me this solid and let me tag along. And besides, if you happen to find yourself in trouble again, I’ll already be there to save you once more.”
His smile is almost more dazzling than the metal. Having a travelling companion would certainly be useful, the logical thing to do to avoid fighting on his own. Having a shoulder to rely on.
Looking at this character on his white horse, in golden armour and a smug-looking face (the part he can see, with dimples on his cheeks and that perfect, pearly-white, flashing grin) Ted sees not so much a loyal companion as a fame-seeker.
Ted sighs in defeat.
"We're leaving tomorrow morning, just be ready at the pier."
After all, it’s better to have someone to use as bait if the need arises.

But no, he didn’t have a problem with Roy being bi, or with men. He didn’t.
It was just that when he thought about Roy with other men, he couldn’t stop thinking about what exactly they were doing.
