Sprout hissed, pulling his hand back reflexively and knocking a plastic lid loose. A tiny, iridescent spider dropped onto the shelf, scuttling into the shadows before he could even register what it was.
“Gah… stupid pin,” Sprout muttered, rubbing his thumb. The skin was already throbbing with a dull, strange heat, a sudden wave of dizziness washing over him so fast his vision blurred at the edges.
