Summary
Jisung had learned early on that people only wanted him for his physical appearance, so he entertained them to fill the void of loneliness. Yet every time, he was left hollower than before.
To the world, he wore a confident facade. But in the darkness of night, with only the moon as his witness, he longed for something real, a love not rooted in flesh but in heart. Someone who would look at him like he hung the moon and not as a piece of meat, someone who would let him set down his guard and finally be cherished as he deserved.

“…I’m sorry, Jisung.”
The words hung in the fragile silence for a moment or two—then it shattered.
Jisung blinked. “Why are you sorry?”
“I couldn’t help you… I just—” Minho’s voice broke under the weight of suppressed emotions and guilt. “I feel like I should’ve done more—I should’ve tried harder.”
The thought hadn’t left Minho’s mind since the day he had received those final messages from Jisung. He had failed to save a loved one from their fate once again.
