Summary
“Avery,” Derek breathed, his voice a ragged, sandpaper scrape. He leaned heavily against the doorframe, as if he’d used the last of his strength just to get there. “You… you’re not a very hard guy to find, you know?” A ghost of a tired smile touched his lips.
For a long, breathless moment, Avery couldn't speak. He could only stare, drinking in every detail of the man who was supposed to be dead. The man whose face he’d only ever imagined. The man he’d mourned for weeks. The man who was now, impossibly, standing on his doorstep.
“Derek?” Avery’s voice was a choked whisper, his own name for the other man feeling strange and sacred on his tongue.
“The one and only,” Derek tried to joke, but it came out as a pained grimace. “Mostly.”
OR
After sending his final letter and dying, Derek overcomes the King and is revived. Avery is more than happy to see him back.

Summary
“So ditch him,” comes out of his mouth before any critical thinking takes place. He holds out his hand. “Have dinner with me.”
“What?” Emma’s eyes widen. “That’s okay, I’m—I can take the bus back home.”
It’s clear from her tone she thinks the offer is just because her date stood her up and he feels bad. A miscommunication that must be rectified as soon as possible. Brendon doesn’t like being misunderstood.
He lets himself look her over, take in her bare legs, her short dress, the way the straps drape over her collarbones. “Dressed like that? No you can’t.” Impatiently, he reasserts that she should take his hand.
“Really,” she pleads, eyes wide and shining with emotion, “just go home. I’m fine.”
“I know you are.” That’s not the point.
It gives her pause. Two little lines appear between her eyebrows, adorably furrowed in confusion. “I—you what?”
He softens. “I know you’re okay. I’m asking you to dinner because I want to take you to dinner.”

Summary
At this, his eyes meet Atsumu’s, and they’re filled with mirth. “Ya like my baby,” Atsumu accuses him instead.
Sakusa looks at Hikaru like Atsumu’s talking bullshit, but his eyes are curled at the edges in something that’s close to Suna’s face when Hikaru crawls into his lap. He pokes the adorable mole on Hikaru’s cheek and finds the audacity to say, “He’s tolerable.”
Or, the one in which Atsumu isn't Spiderman, but he's a single dad, and that's pretty much the same thing.
