Summary
Buck’s halfway through his second beer, aimlessly scrolling through TikTok when a conversation behind the bar catches his ear. He looks up and tries to get the bartender’s attention when he’s near, gesturing to get him to come towards him. “Hey, Brandon?” Brandon takes a step to the right and closer to Buck. “Did I hear that right? You guys are looking for someone to fill in on Thursday for entertainment?”
“Yeah, our usual guy cancelled. Apparently he can’t do his Thursdays anymore. Shame, too. He really brought in the crowds. Why? D’you know anyone?” Buck nods and opens Spotify to show Brandon. "Oli? Shit, yeah. I have 5 of his songs. You know him, Buckley?"
"I'm Oli."
-OR: in the midst of going back to work after the firetruck, the embolism, the tsunami, and the lawsuit, Buck feels more alone than ever. No one is talking to him, no one wants him to be there. On a whim, he takes up singing again and feels more like himself with every passing performance. His friends don't know, and he doesn't tell them.

Summary
Buck doesn’t feel like himself.
He hasn’t since he woke up from the coma.He doesn’t know how to explain it, and he’s pretty sure that no one would understand if he were to try. It’s just something inside of him that doesn’t feel like him.
Objectively… realistically he knows what it’s about.
This wasn’t a run of the mill near death situation like getting buried under mud or getting rebar through your skull. It was an actual deathHe died.
That’s actually something that can happen.
After all the near deaths they’ve had, after all the almosts and the mights, the tsunamis and the snipers, it happened. And it happened to him.He died, and he doesn’t know where to start to process it.
Or: Buck loses sight of himself - Dr. Copeland suggests that he finds hobbies that can occupy his mind. He picks up yoga again, he goes to the zoo with Chris, and he reconnects with a part of himself that he'd left behind. With Oliplayshere making a comeback, Buck starts to heal.
