The look of pure disbelief on Alhaitham's face would have made Kaveh laugh for hours, if the situation was another and he didn't look on the verge of tears.
"Wha-" the scribe tried to ask before Kaveh interrupted him.
"It's like wanting to use a torch but its batteries die before you even get to use it. Pretty much 𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 right? Born to do something yet still can't do it".or, after another argument, they are left to collect each other's pieces, digging old, yet new, feelings.
