It doesn't matter how old you are - whether you're fifty, twenty-eight, or seventeen. The human soul is fragile at any age. Perhaps even more so when you're seventeen, and when you look upon yourself as a coward.
Lord Voldemort and his insatiable lust for power started the first wizarding war, which could bring out the best and the worst in people. It pitted the best of friends against each other, brought with it weighty uncertainties, gave people a chance to smell power, turned heroes into cowards, unleashed a wave of everyday fear, and proved that the human soul was fragile and full of contradictions. One minute it might be brave, willing to sacrifice everything for the good, but the next it would break under the pressure of circumstances, giving way to fear and despair.
Voldemort's war was a test for anyone who faced it. It showed that even those who once believed in justice and courage could stumble under the weight of loss and fear. And it's hard to find your way back from a place like this.
Most stories are about heroes. Not this one. Some would say it's about cowards.
But who in the world decides who's the hero and who's the coward?
