“Why am I here?” was empty. He thought about closure, but closure had been given to him the day Clark told him they were done. So lost in the question, he was rudely interrupted by the sudden attention the crowd gave to the door opening and revealing the woman he should hate. Lois Lane, the perfect reporter, was just a really good friend, he was told. But he doesn't, not when he understands why the election of having everything he could never offer was faced to Clark.
With the music playing, and Clark's sight suddenly not in him anymore, for the first time in his life, he did what many never thought he would do. “Fuck this, I'm leaving.” He chose himself.
