Summary
Hank Anderson and his sons Connor, Conrad, and Cole have been a family for almost twelve years. Connor was eight when he was adopted by Hank, and Conrad was twelve. Hank had been married at the time, and absolutely loved his family. After Cole was born, Hank's wife passed away and he fell into a pit of depression, and started drinking his problems away. After Connor convinced him to turn his life around, they adopted Sumo and we're finally happy again.
That is, until Hank was diagnosed with cancer. He was admitted to a caring facility, and nowadays Connor is always there for Hank, making sure he's fed and taking his medicine.
But while Connor is there, he meets a man by the name of Markus Manfred, who has his dad registered at the same facility for a little while.
Connor and him start talking, and eventually Connor can feel himself falling in love, and he doesn't know what he's doing, at all.

The skin on his knee was completely torn to shreds, covered in red clumps of dirt and sand. Damn enormous dog. He rotated his body until he was stable. That was until his back hit the ground hard, tackled by the thing.
“Sumo, heel!” the canine barked and left Markus on the ground in pain. "Cole, are you alright? What happened?” The owner of the dog asked, Markus couldn’t see his face as his back was turned.
“He just ran really fast and I lost the leash. Sorry, Con.”
“It’s alright, buddy. Just hold on a little tighter next time.” Markus eyed the dog with malicious intent before gazing over at his now dust covered bike. “Sorry about that, sir. Are you alright?” The sun shone in his green and blue irises, blinding most of his vision except for a pale hand that blocked the sun.
“I’m fine, just mildly in pain.” Markus grit his teeth and grabbed the hand in front of him which surprisingly lifted him to his feet with little to no effort. His wounded knee decided to give out at the right moment and he fell into the other boy’s arms. With the body blocking the light, Markus could see his pale skin, soft jaw, and caramel-like doe eyes.
“Well, shit. Guess I’m getting murdered tomorrow.”

Connor is 26 years old and two years out of enlistment, with two years of standard Army duty under his belt and another four of Special Forces. Now working as a security guard, he's in therapy for severe PTSD and a lot of guilt issues, but at least he's able to pay for his and Nines' education. (He majors in veterinary technology, and yes, he’s heard a lot of vet vet jokes.)
He has nightmares almost every night, until he starts having sex dreams instead.
