Summary
Daniela is in love with Sophia and has been praying about it for weeks, each prayer shorter than the last as her doubt grows. She doesn't know if loving a girl fits inside the life her faith (despite knowing that there is nothing wrong with liking one, there are no scriptures in the bible that says it is wrong) and her family have mapped out for her. On the sixth prayer, she says nothing at all.
Meanwhile, Sophia's mom had said that Sophia has no plans to find love, not until the end of their contract.
Only because Sophia believes there is no love in this career if it did not involve Daniela.

Summary
Well, here goes nothing, Daniela thought.
"Actually," She started, taking a deep breath. "I was wondering if maybe you could help me out." It came out quickly, all in one breath. Dani didn't dare try to look over in Sophia's direction after she said it, not sure if she'd be able to handle it if Sophia had a disgusted reaction to her suggestion.
"What, like, be your wing-woman?" Sophia appeared to be on board with the idea. "Sure, sounds like it could be fun. You know, now that I think of it, there's this girl I know, you two would totally hit it off. Her name is-"
"No, no, I didn't- that's not what I meant, Sophia," Daniela cut her off. She was already starting to regret this. She should have just kept her mouth shut, but there was no going back now. "I meant that maybe- maybe you could be the person that I… experiment with?" She spluttered, trying to find the best way to phrase it.
The look on Sophia's face was almost comical. Almost.
OR:
Daniela and Sophia fuck around and find out. Literally.

Summary
What would you do if you discovered that the love of your life—the one you let slip away—had died?
What would you do if that same love returned before you, stripped of memory, unable even to pronounce your name?
What would you do if the only choice left was to let them go, knowing you would never see them again? This is a story of grief, of the stubborn persistence of loss. Of how the ghosts we love settle within us with the same naturalness as breathing, and of how learning to release what wounds us is, paradoxically, the only way to keep living.
It is a tale about the fragility of memory, the violence of forgetting, and the impossible tenderness of those who love beyond death. All is well.
Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost.
One brief moment and all will be as it was before.
How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again!Bookmarked by ncmesis
