Summary
Following a victorious war against the Kingdom of Marley, the Eldian Empire was thrown into political upheaval when Karl Fritz, a farmstead-born warrior who rose to insurmountable fame by defeating the crowned Marleyan prince, Helos, on the River of Mitras, organized a coup that slaughtered King Abraham Reiss and his family. Ten years have passed since that night, and to commemorate a decade of King Fritz’s rule, the capital city of Paradis is to host the Titanius Games, a series of athletic competitions where glory-seeking champions from local regions and allied nations come to represent their homelands and test their strength.
On the eve of the opening ceremony, a banquet is held at the king’s palace. Eren Jaeger, a nineteen-year-old prostitute working in an Eldian pleasure house known of servicing unorthodox fetishes, finds himself to be part of the promised entertainment for competitors, sentries, and foreign royals alike. There, he meets Levi Ackerman, a descendant of ancient lineage and the sworn Protector of the King, and the crossing of these two unlikely paths drastically change the trajectory of their destinies, converging the two into a singular tale entrenched in violence, passion, revenge, and war.
