Langa sighs.
There go the hazy, hopeful ideas he’d had when the night started of maybe, finally telling Reki how he feels about him. Those silly notions have been effectively pushed to the back burner.

Not that it’s more important than Reki, because nothing is, but christ. Is this going to be a recurring pattern for the rest of their lives? It's already getting rather old.

Summary
Reki keeps a diary, even if he doesn't exactly like the idea of writing down every feeling he's ever had, it's better than accidentally letting them all spill out in conversation.
Reki is also not great at keeping his diary hidden, even though he tries. Langa accidentally reads a paragraph or two about him.

Kyan Reki was a magic user. His magic was reading people's minds through touch. To think he couldn’t get any lamer.
The least he could do was reserve the skinship for friends and family only. And of course, that must include Langa, his very best friend. Langa was nice, simple, his thoughts wouldn’t be too bad. Reki didn’t hesitate when they met up in the morning and Langa greeted him with their usual DAP.
When their hands lingered at the infinity sign, he heard it.
I always love mornings like this, when I get to see him.

And so, before Reki could convince himself this was a very very bad idea, he heard himself saying, “But I mean, if you want to... practice. With me. I’d be okay with it.”
Langa’s eyes went round. “What?”
Reki tried not to slap himself in the face. Why the hell had he said that? Maybe he could say it had been a joke? No, that would sound mean. It was probably best to act cool, like he hadn’t meant anything by it. After all, he hadn’t meant anything by it, right?
“I mean, I was just offering. ‘Cause you can trust me to be honest with you, y’know? But if you don’t—”“Okay,” Langa said.
Wait, what?
or, Reki finds out that Langa has never kissed anyone before and offers to help him practice—but when Reki starts to realize he likes Langa as more than a friend, things get complicated.

Summary
After the ill-fated tournament run by Adam, the S community starts to take notice of Langa, the new skateboarding prodigy. That's nothing new. But they also notice his board, which leads to Reki getting a commission.
Reki now has to work through his self-worth issues while also dealing with this more-than-friendship thing he has going on with Langa.
At the same time, Langa is considering his options for the future. Should he go pro with skateboarding? He's not concerned with winning medals or being in skate magazines, he just wants to have fun with Reki and his friends. And speaking of Reki, should he just... act on these feelings, or will that scare Reki away?
// basically, I need Reki to get the recognition he deserves, and I need Langa to have some aspirations for the future, and there's a lovely little current of Renga pining under all of that :)
