So he couldn't lie to Fadel even if it was by omission.

    So he confessed that Kant was talking to cops.

    He hadn't really thought about the aftermath, other the fact that Fadel was his faen and would continue to be.

    The aftermath, however, is complicated. (or He just had to remind Fadel of that fact.)
