Summary
Thomas' voice drops into a low, rumbling purr over the line that goes straight to Edwin’s core. “Tell me all about what’s got you up in the middle of the night.”
Fighting a smile, Edwin says, “I merely woke and am unable to get back to sleep."
Over the phone, Edwin can hear the way Thomas pouts with mock disappointment, imagines the curve of those plush lips as Thomas says, “Aw, so you’re not lying there all hot and bothered? Thinking of me? Sending me academic articles—and thanks, by the way, this looks cool—just to get my motor running?”
Edwin laughs. This is such a ridiculous conversation, for all that Edwin can’t deny he’s certainly guilty of more than a few imaginative nights. Which he’s certainly not going to admit to. “Hardly.”
Instead of snarking back, Thomas hums invitingly. “Would you like to be?”
Confused at the turn from teasing to seductive, Edwin trips over his words. “Pardon?” But suggestive innuendo practically drips from Thomas' words, enough that even Edwin realizes oh, that’s what he means.

CATWEEN 2, Week 3: Blood In The Wine / Night Creatures and Desire
“Kiss me again?” the Cat King requested, breathlessly, absorbing everything that Edwin had told him and basking in the fact that it was him who Edwin wanted to kiss, him who Edwin had chosen to hold in this place.
Edwin answered with action, pressing his lips to the Cat King's once again. If it were at all possible, it felt more magical to him than it had the first time and Edwin once again found himself agreeing that second kisses were, in fact, better. With the Cat King's arms over his shoulders, Edwin was pulled impossibly closer and he found that he couldn't get enough of it.
He liked being this close, and wanted to be closer.

“Mmm, a question first.” Golden eyes are roving over Edwin, from face to hands to chest to hips and back again, slit pupils widening to deep black pools. “What happens to your clothes when you take them off? Since as I understand ghostly clothing, you manifest what you wear out of your own spectral energy, right?”
He looks up at Edwin through his lashes, lips parted enticingly. “Let me tell you what I think. You manifest clothes from your own energy. They’re part of you. Even if they're not on you.” His fingertips idly trace over the edges of the robe, then down to draw slow lines along the silk covering his thighs. It’s very distracting.
Edwin’s voice catches, breathy as he replies. “That is an interesting hypothesis.” And it is interesting, he just can’t quite focus his thoughts past the vision of the Cat King half-dressed in front of him to figure out why. He senses the impending trap closing around him, though he cannot see the shape of it. But is it truly a trap if he has no desire to escape?
“As to what that might mean…” Burning gold eyes drop to Edwin's throat. “Take off the bowtie, sweetheart.”
