Summary
"A thought occured to him, one that made him smile in demise, oddly comforting. It was never that illness that imprisoned him the most. An emotion, stronger than any ability, that would have killed him even if the flowers were to suddenly wither. An emotion more binding than any curse could ever hope to be. If he were to kill Fyodor, he would be free from so much more than mere ability. And yet....
A bird, stuck in the cage that it was painfully aware of - and even if it were to open, it would never fly away."
(or - Nikolai has Hanahaki Disease and would rather die than confess)

Summary
"Carrying the light atmosphere from the office, Stanley found himself so relaxed, as he was never before, drowning in comfortable silence. He realized that perhaps if all of the iterations would look like that, he would never complain about repetition. Yes, even if they would say the exact same sentances and retrace all the same steps - he could never get bored of it. He would chose the same life every single time if it would mean being here again.
Maybe it was never about the routine, after all. "

Stanley complains about the story and Narrator tries to understand why. They both go through the story together, basically.
