“What year is it?”
The harsh question came from an older guy in a blue bomber jacket, with a head and beard full of grey hair. The way his brow furrowed and his eyes narrowed made him feel like he was getting interrogated at the station the whole time.
“The fuck kind of question is that? The ball just dropped in Theater Square yesterday. It’s 2001.”

Summary
Kiryu flees to the countryside and lives a quiet life in a quiet village, wanting to start over as a nobody with no past. He buys a little run down farm, decides to fix it up with the help of some locals and plans on becoming a farmer. All the while, Haruka is still in a coma with no signs of waking.
Majima is kidnapped by the Omi and manages to escape, now on the run. He stashes himself away in the back of a truck and finds himself stranded in a small and sleepy village. He stumbles upon a farm.

This close, Majima can smell him: cigarettes and beer on his breath, the scent of Kanrai’s grills still clinging to his hair, the faint hint of his sweat underneath it all. He feels a little twinge in his guts as he whispers loudly, “I’m sorry no one’s givin’ you any proper coachin’, Kiryu-chan.”

1) good food
2) good company
3) someone to make him smileNow if only the best person to help her obtain those things wasn't Majima Goro.

Summary
They say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. It seemed like Majima was hell bent on testing that theory.
(aka five times Majima treated Kiryu, and one time where Kiryu paid it back in full.)
