"It wasn’t very often that a god thanked him. It usually took him going on a quest, or, you know, saving the world again. But this hadn’t been a quest, it had just been him finding an eight-year-old half-blood starving in a cold NYC winter and choosing to bring her to camp. Sad, yes, that she had suffered so much at such a young age, but it wasn’t particularly unusual for Percy to pick up stray demigods, so it wasn’t something that he would expect to earn a godly 'thank you.' And certainly not from the god that still couldn’t be bothered to call him the correct name 99% of the time."
Basically, Dionysus is being weirdly friendly to Percy. Or, he's trying to be. It's not quite working.

I was taken aback by the question. “What the—why does that matter!? Didn’t you try to drag me and my best friend into, like, ultra-hell for your son’s master bolt?,” I pointed out, pointing a finger at the, for some reason, now shameful perpetrator of my summer-suffering.
He sputtered. “I thought you were older!,” he explained as if that justified dragging anyone into the screaming pits of Tartarus.
“So you thought you were just sacrificing a freaking midget for your cause or something? Because I don’t know about you, but I do not look like a satyr,” I said, throwing up my hands in the air in exasperation.
