Summary

Something was changing between them as the days passed. Fleeting moments in which Hua Cheng could have sworn that Xie Lian understood his very soul when their eyes met. Every accidental brushing of hands, every time he called him 'gege' with tender affection. A curiously lingering feeling of anticipation, which would often be brushed aside by Xie Lian changing the subject with a nervous, distracting sweep of his tongue over dry lips.
Hua Cheng didn't dare to assume that Xie Lian saw him as anything but a child. But during times like these, he had hope.
