It’s a statement. Not a question. There’s no mocking tone to it, no challenge, or teasing lilt. A fact, spoken aloud.
George feels like his whole body is curling into itself.
“Yes.”
A fact. The inevitable truth crashing down.
Dream hums quietly, then speaks again, this time more gentle, more hesitant. “Do you still love me?”
An exhausted and apathetic George, plagued by shifting dreams and nightmares, runs away from the SMP to live out the rest of his life alone in the wilderness. Eight months later, Dream shows up on his doorstep, and he's forced to reconcile with the past that's been haunting him.

They weren’t even here for five minutes and George already felt like he was messing up. That was until he felt Dream’s hand encompassing his back. It was crazy, how much Dream could make everything better by just doing the smallest of things.
He just felt right with him. He felt happier, giddier. Even the fans could see it. “The Dream smile” they called it. Infatuated. And they weren’t wrong. He had been infatuated, ever since Dream had asked him to take a chance on him all those years ago. How could he not be?

George’s sister is getting married in India. And his best friend is coming with him. Now George has to manage his complicated feelings for his best friend in a completely new and unfamiliar environment. It’s day one and he’s already going insane. With his sister’s worries of everything being perfect and his years long buried feelings floating to the surface with a simple smile, how is george going to survive this week.

Dream keeps holding his stare, and the corners of his eye tilt with remorse, his brows furrowed with worry. His mouth opens and closes again.
Expecting the worst, George stops breathing.
“Did you know I had feelings for you?” Dream asks, words barely distinguishable but clear enough for the world to shake.

Summary
Most of the time it’d be with both Sapnap and Dream, other times, on quieter, cooler nights, just Dream. Words that’ll never be repeated uttered under heavy breaths, dirty things that were never really explained being spoken on a whim, because there was still a distance between them. It wasn’t real, just then.
Now though, things have changed.
