Summary
It’s a mystery even to himself how he remembers the expression Cyno always made when they battled eight years ago, but chalks it off to the many recordings of the Champion he has seen along the years. Cyno is, technically, a celebrity; it’s impossible not to see his face plastered everywhere whenever Alhaitham is in town.
In a way, Cyno’s fame was the one reason why he hadn’t forgotten his childhood rival’s face, even though they had still been kids the last time they saw each other.
Eight years ago, Alhaitham and Cyno had been neighbors and rivals, but that no longer has anything to do with Alhaitham. It was supposed to stay that way, until the Sages decide to return and Alhaitham is called in to assist the Sumeru Champion in investigating the matter.
