Summary
“Just don’t say anything too weird around my family, okay?” he blurts out as soon as Jeonghan hangs up the phone, not even bothering to ask Jeonghan to change his mind about coming. It’s obvious that’s a lost cause. “Just — can you be normal with them? Just act like we’re normal for a weekend.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Jeonghan tries, as if the shiteating grin on his face isn’t giving him away completely. “I’m always normal.”
Mingyu’s stomach sinks to his shoes.

Summary
Jun’s in a black t-shirt and black leggings when Soonyoung picks her up on Saturday morning, a black ballcap pulled down low over her head, hair visible only where it’s sticking out in little tufts at the back.
“What’s with the outfit?”
“Secret appointment,” Jun reminds him, and Soonyoung’s mouth drops open in immediate understanding. He takes a second to reevaluate his own getup: a white t-shirt with a bright green and purple dinosaur paired with his lucky red shorts.
“I missed the memo,” he says sadly. “Do we have time to stop?”

Summary
Technically Minghao’s just his stylist, but Soonyoung trusts him with a lot. He respects Minghao’s opinion, within reason, but there are certain fundamental points on which Soonyoung is unwilling to budge. His need to wear tiger print to every major press event, for example, and his single-minded pursuit of up-and-coming director Kim Mingyu.
“Do you actually like him?” Minghao asks, sounding exasperated. “Like, as a person. Do you even know him?”
What a stupid question.
//
Spoilers: It is not a stupid question.

Summary
Miss Bae takes the corners particularly carelessly going home, laughing at the way Seulgi’s eyes widen, and at the way she discreetly reaches to brace herself every time. It isn’t at Seulgi’s expense, though. Seulgi laughs too, overwhelmed, the wind whipping at her, threatening to rub her cheeks raw. Her mother would scold her if she knew, certainly, but Seulgi finds she doesn’t care.
How could she, when she feels this free?

Every time Mingyu gets buzzed he asks Seungkwan if he’s okay, really, eyes wide and concerned as he leans into Seungkwan’s space. Every time he does it Seungkwan pushes him back, a smile on his face as he reassures Mingyu that he’s doing just fine.
(Yes, Seungkwan's single for the holiday season — again. Yes, it's fine. Yes, really.)

Summary
“You really never got curious?” Soonyoung’s never known when to let a subject drop, and this is no exception. “About what your father was studying?”
Jihoon’s back starts to prickle again, that familiar phantom sting.
“Maybe a little,” he admits.

Summary
Here’s a secret for you:
Joshua asked Jeonghan why he couldn’t leave Mingyu alone, once.
Only once.
Jeonghan remembers shrugging and telling Joshua that Mingyu was easy to rile up. He remembers Joshua’s entire face wrinkling up in disgust as he immediately told Jeonghan he didn’t want to hear anymore, actually, and that he could keep it to himself. Jeonghan had gotten irritated at him, then, telling him to fuck off if he was going to be so annoying about it — Joshua asked, hadn’t he?
Embarrassing, in retrospect. Jeonghan really hadn’t gotten what he meant.

Summary
“I can't come see you if I've been smoking,” Wonwoo says, then, and Joshua's stomach lurches for real. He clutches the phone tight in his palm, wincing at the way it's gone all clammy with sweat, and presses the screen to his cheek even though he knows you're not supposed to do that – that's how you end up with breakouts. Joshua's read about it in like three different places.
