Jiang Cheng showed Lan Jingyi the training grounds, the barracks, and the dining hall in relative silence. As they turned to the inner section of Lotus Pier, Lan Jingyi murmured, “Your mark is visible.”
Jiang Cheng’s hand flew to the spot just behind his left ear where his soul mark sat, a simple lotus drawn in black lines. He glanced at Lan Jingyi. “Yes,” he said slowly. “We don’t hide our marks in Yunmeng.”
Lan Jingyi looked at him a moment longer before looking away. “It’s a beautiful mark,” he said.
Something strange and warm bubbled in Jiang Cheng’s gut. “Thank you,” he replied slowly. “Are there—have you seen ugly soul marks?”
Lan Jingyi hummed. “Xichen-ge’s isn’t particularly aesthetic, in my opinion, but I would never say that to Lord Nie,” he said dryly, startling a laugh out of Jiang Cheng. When he looked back over at him, Jiang Cheng got the sense that the twinkle in his eye indicated a smile under the mask.

Jiang Cheng is under no illusions--soulmates are not a foregone conclusion--and when Lotus Pier burns, finding his soulmate is the least of his worries.

Summary
Trouble never seemed far off when Childe was around. For the most part, Lumine didn't mind that. Kept things interesting, for sure. Usually, their mutual brand of mayhem looked like epic battles against hilichurls and eldritch horrors from Abyss. But the moment Childe sheepishly croaked out "my parents think we're dating," Lumine just knew that they had stumbled head first into a new form of danger. Sadly, this one wasn't one they could stab their way out of.
Though frankly if this fake dating thing didn't go well, Lumine wasn't above trying it.

Lumine had known from the start that this was not some sort of twisted sex pollen. Venti's pheromones did not invoke arousal specifically, but rather a lack of inhibition. It was like a drug that made people free. Whatever wacky hijinks the people of Mondstadt were up to, they originated from some internal desire. Perhaps warped beyond their natural limits by a lack of restraint, but still...no one was doing anything they did not want to, deep down.
