Stolas being gravid had settled into the Goetia-Buckzo household, awkwardly at first, like a dance no one yet knew the tune to, but soon with a quiet sort of warmth. Everyone close to them knew. Everyone except Octavia.
That was until Loona, in one of her conversations with the owl girl, slipped up and told her. Until Blitz started working himself raw over money. Until Stolas realized he was eating dinner on his own more often than not.

Blitz woke from his preening-induced nap to Stolas’ out-of-left-goddamn-field question. It was hardly fair of his boyfriend because he always seemed to drop these zingers while massaging lotion along Blitz’s horn or doing claw maintenance. Especially since Stolas knew when Blitz had a faceful of his chest fluff, he would agree to nearly anything.
