Summary
“Aren’t you ashamed to be loving a married man?” Korn raises his voice, and the thin thread of patience inside of him snaps in half.
The ball of dough is thrown against the counter, and it loses shape, slips down the edge, and falls to the ground, just before his feet. Pat’s hands are shaking when he whirls on Korn, his vision blurring and his lips trembling. Suddenly, the diamond ring that rests over his chest feels heavier than usual. Pat clenches his jaw and shoves his hands into the pocket of his apron before he grits out; “I came first. Pran loves me,”
Korn faces Pat with just as much anger as Pat shows, “It doesn’t matter!” he cries out. “You’re not the one legally married to Pran. She is,”
“No matter what you do,” Korn continues. “You’ll always be the other one, Pat,”Bookmarked by ntiiit
