“I’m Cliff, nice to meet you.”
Kirk’s body was working on autopilot and he was so grateful for that. He was pretty sure he smiled, gave a greeting nod and shook Cliff’s hand for an appropriate amount of time. Meanwhile, his brain was going into an overdrive. First of all, he just made eye contact with the person he fawned over for the past how-many months. Second of all, this person’s arm was just around his shoulders and then they shook hands. And now he was telling him something, so Kirk took all his willpower to act like he wasn’t going to cry about it once he got to his room.
