“Where are Yoo Joonghyuk oppa and Yoo Mia?” Lee Jihye asks.
“Oh Lee Jihye-ssi, didn’t you see in the group chat? Yoo Joonghyuk-ssi said his work schedule conflicted with the party so he couldn’t make it,” Hyunsung responds.
“Oh, I figured he told one of you but I guess not. Yoo Joonghyuk oppa freed up his schedule. He’s on his way now with Yoo Mia,” Lee Jihye says blankly.
The doorbell rings once again and everyone’s heads turn to the door and then to Dokja.
Dokja thinks to himself, “God this is gonna be a long night won’t it?”

Han Sooyoung had been used to waking up comfortable in bed, tucked in under the covers and reluctant to leave the warmth of her blankets. Over time she grew used to waking up slumped over her desk instead, her neck and back protesting at the position, her laptop still open on the latest chapter of her other self’s current novel or on an essay for class, and she had to start writing right away despite her entire body feeling sore and exhausted.
But she’d still take that over waking up in, of all places, a fucking bar.

“Oh.” Yoo Sangah looks shifty — well. Yoo Sangah looks entirely normal and in fact reliable, but Sooyoung’s learned to recognise her mood from how she increases the pace of her fingers tapping against the table. “He won’t be able to join us for any of the trip, then.”
Sooyoung frowns. “It’s just a day trip, right? Five hours with you can’t be too bad.”
Yoo Sangah flinches back almost imperceptibly before she sighs. “It’s three days and two nights.”
When Sooyoung finds Kim Dokja, she’s killing him.

And then she pauses. Blinks. Stares a little, maybe, because the person—the woman—the fucking goddess?—tilts her head and smiles, looking more than a bit confused. “What is it?”
Jung Heewon is suddenly, extremely glad she hadn’t gotten eaten by that monster a while ago.

Lee Seolhwa beams at her, which makes Jung Heewon think she’s finally going to give a workable answer for all of three seconds. “Have you ever had a mushroom garden before, Heewon-ssi? It’s actually quite fun.”
Maybe, just maybe, Jung Heewon should have listened to Han Sooyoung about this.
