Summary
After a tumultuous freshman year of college and whatnot for the party Mike isn’t doing well at all and everyone is worried. Following a breakup and a subsequent open room Mike moves in and they begin to tear back the layers of time spent apart as well as the events in their friendship.
Tldr: Will’s epilogue boyfriend will never be as good as Mike and Mike cannot be without Will so they obviously have to move in together, reconcile and kiss a lot. -

Will sighs, resigned. He drops his hands. “Okay. Honestly?” He hesitates, then shrugs. “He was a bad kisser. And I just… couldn’t get excited around him. At all.”
The reaction is immediate and merciless. Dustin makes a dramatic gagging noise. El gasps like she’s been handed gossip gold. Lucas high-fives Max, shaking her hand in his.
Mike doesn’t say anything. He just watches Will, watches the way he shrugs it off, the way he laughs a little too loud, the way his ears go red.
Or, Will's new boyfriend is a bad kisser. Mike thinks it's a crime that no one has kissed Will properly. He's on a goal to change that, Carlton be damned.

A punched out breath escaped Will. "I didn't think you would ever bring it up, honestly. For the longest time, I wasn't even sure you knew."
"I didn't. I just never- I don't understand.. why me? After everything that happened, why would it be me?" Mike felt like he was being wheeled into surgery, laid bare on the table for everyone to see the mess that was his heart.
"What? Mike, how could it not be you?" Will let out a disbelieving laugh. "Mike, it was always you. It had always been you back then."
