If there’s one word Kaveh could use to describe his life, it would be “ordinary”. Sure, the start of his life looks more like a sad drama movie with the death of his father, being abandoned by his mother, then being treated like luggage as he was passed from one relative to another. But he grew up, got a job working as a corporate slave, and became self-sufficient enough to pay his rent while not starving. Currently, his job is tedious, and the only joy in his life comes from spending his evenings at home alone, designing and building little houses in the game "My Little Aranara Friend", but things could be worse!
It becomes worse in the blink of an eye. He dies. And not only is he forcefully transported into the world of "My Little Aranara Friend", but he's also stuck in the body of a mob monster called a Fungus where his only hope of getting a human body is by levelling up.
...And also by saving the Aranara from mass extinction caused by some malevolent mysterious dark power called "The Withering" that, if left unchecked, will also destroy the world.

As the darkness surrounds you, until its so dark you can't see and until it's so cold you can't breathe due to the thin air, that's how you know what I'm feeling. Being a caged bird, I will never be free. Not as long as I am bounded to him, and he to me.
Kei works at the asylum just at the edge if the woods close to the city. He's tall and has an amazing build, born with looks to charm just about anything. Wilkshire is where all the lunatics who can't be cured are sent, and it gets boring when you have to hear the constant moans of the mushed brained patients and the protests that are heard from those who still cherish what little sanity they have left.
After yet another doctor quits, Kei is tasked with taking over until a new replacement is found. Unfortunately for him, he's stuck with the most mentally sick patient in the institute, Tadashi Yamaguchi.
Maybe it was the way he looked at him with beautiful dark eyes, or maybe the sweet way he spoke in, either way, he left an impression on Kei, and maybe this small obsession could take over his life.

Summary
War is coming to the Mage Guilds, and if the members of Karasuno Mage Guild wants to survive, they will have to team up with Nekoma and Aoba Josei Mage Guilds. Even with allies, it won't be easy to defeat Windswept and Moonlit Shadows, or the mastermind pulling the strings.
Basically I couldn't get the idea of the Haikyuu!! crew as mages and familiars out of my head, and so all of my favorite characters and pairings have wormed their way into this AU.

Summary
And Tsukishima doesn’t get it. He doesn’t get why Yamaguchi needs to be validated by people who are, admittedly, cute but are of no actual importance. He doesn’t get why Yamaguchi doesn’t have admirers in the first place. He’s overly deserving of attention with his growing confidence and those endearing freckles scattered across the cheeks of his maturing face. Even though Tsukishima only realized it himself a mere few months ago, Yamaguchi is a cool person. Why doesn’t anyone else notice?
He regrets asking later when he realizes that people have started noticing.
