Summary
Jihoon racks her brain, desperate to find a solution to her predicament. There is no logical explanation for why she believes the stranger doesn’t intend to hurt her, but the tangy, metallic smell of blood is starting to fill the air, and instinctively she knows that if she doesn’t do something quick their resolve will eventually crumble.
Finding her voice again, she calls out, “I’m wearing a cup!”
The stranger, now panting, eyes firmly shut, winces at Jihoon’s words before blinking their eyes open.
“A menstrual cup. It collects blood. It’s full, that’s why it’s leaking and I'm bleeding all over the place,” Jihoon explains.
There’s a questioning look in the stranger’s eyes. Eyes that go wide as soon they catch Jihoon’s meaning.
“I can take it out and give it to you. I will.” -
