Based on a prompt by Flaresinthesky:
Person A makes an offhand comment that person B wouldn’t be a good boyfriend. Person B argues that he would, thus him trying to prove it by “wooing” person A as much as he can until it turns to something more than just proving him wrong.
OR: Jeongguk's friends tease him because he's never been in a serious relationship and thinks that romance and romantic gestures are waste of time and that it would make him shitty boyfriend. Jeongguk, ever the competitive person he is, picks Taehyung for an experiment to prove that he can do romantic stuff if he wants to. He starts planning dates and showers his friend with romantic gestures. Somewhere along the way, they both realize that it’s turning into something more and Jeongguk realizes that doing romantic stuff for the right person isn't that bad.
