Phum gives him a narrowed look and crosses his arms. He doesn’t look like someone who’d agree anytime soon, who’d give an inch, and Peem feels like ripping his hair out.
He exhales sharply, “Fuck, fine. I… I want you to be my personal canvas for this term.”
“Huh?”
“I have a very important assignment due at the end of the term,” Peem explains slowly. The idea has just formed in his head, but he’s keen on it. It’s the perfect chance. “We need to paint on a different surface than what we’re used to. Something that isn’t smooth and easy. I’m choosing a person. You, I’m choosing you.”
Peem's hands always felt the need to do something. To give shape. And then they find Phum, whose heart bleeds with no one to smooth it out gently.
