Summary
Klay’s eyes flicked toward Ibarra and saw that he was staring back at her glassily. Her heart skipped a beat when their eyes met, especially after realizing that their arms were still on each other’s shoulders. Klay wanted to stay longer in this position and cherish the moment they were sharing at that very second, but she knew she had to keep their distance as she didn’t want Ibarra to think that she was taking advantage of him because of his drunken state. So, she rolled off away from Ibarra, keeping a safe distance from him while still lying on the bed. When Klay turned her head to look at the one more time, she saw how the intoxicated man was grinning goofily at her.
“Sige, ser. Iwan na muna kita dito para makapahinga ka na.” When she was about to bend upwards, Ibarra’s arm abruptly reached out for Klay’s midsection and firmly pushed her back down, preventing her from getting off the bed. Klay was caught off guard by this, as she was not expecting Ibarra would still have the strength to stop her.

Before Klay's departure to Maria Clara's household, Klay and Ibarra celebrated the lady's last night by drinking over a few glasses of wine.

“Ser, pwede makikitabi lang nung baston nyo, kasi medyo nakakatusok lang,” Klay murmured, aimlessly grasping behind her to push Ibarra’s cane away herself. Letting out a small cry, Ibarra flinched and tried swatting Klay’s hand away, but before he could stop her, Klay ended up groping something else that wasn’t Ibarra’s cane. As she immediately retracted her hand, Klay felt her stomach do somersaults after realizing what she might be holding unto.
“Klay…” Ibarra tried saying calmly, but Klay could feel his breathing was stuttering. “Hindi iyon ang… baston ko.”

Determined to look for Sisa's missing child, Klay dragged Ibarra to barge into the convent where Padre Salvi might be keeping Crispin. Before they could even start their search, they find themselves hiding inside a wardrobe to avoid getting caught.
