    Panes of glass surrounded him on all sides, the space hardly large enough to stretch out his tail. Even though he was regarded as smaller among his kind, it was still a tight squeeze, but he made it work. Had to make it work, considering it was all Aventurine was provided.
    It was hard to tell how long he’s been here, the days rolling over into the weeks. Or at least that is what he’s gathered, having lost track of time long ago.
    It wasn’t supposed to be like this…

    Merman Aventurine was captured by pirates and managed to escape into the arms of the local lighthouse keeper, Veritas Ratio. A merventurine fic based off of the genius artwork of havanillas.
