It even had a shiny stamp of approval from Handsome Jack himself- which the site didn’t shy away from plastering everywhere, and to say Rhys wasn't interested would be a lie.

Set post-canon season 1.
The Gentleman Pirate and Blackbeard were together, at last. But relationships are shifting sands in the wide ocean of possibilities that they were floating on.
They could go any direction. Any direction was an adventure.
It would be strange, foreign. But it might be exciting and a tad scary. It might even involve opening oneself up to another to find your own freedom, to find yourself in the untamed waves and vast oceans with its dangers and beauty.
Stede thought he would find it in pirating. He sort of did, in a sense. Because he had found himself. He had found himself in Ed.
