Summary
“I just feel…” Eddie starts, and then he’s shaking his head and blowing out a stiff breath, rubbing at his brow. “I don’t know, man. I need to get out of my head. It’s not a good place to be right now.”
Buck hums. Lightheartedly, he says, “I could always spank you again.”
Eddie chokes on his water where he was mid-sip, snorting and coughing around his own laughter. “Yeah, absolutely,” he says sarcastically, shoving at Buck playfully. “It worked so well last time.”
Their eyes meet, and a wave of energy shocks its way through Buck’s body. Not like a lightning strike; more like an electric fence, pulsing through his fingertips and dissipating in his chest, fizzling out into his ribcage.
“Well, it kinda did,” Buck croaks, throat aching and dry again already.

Summary
Eddie’s hands are warm as they slide under his bump, molding himself to Buck’s back gently. It’s barely morning, but Buck has been up for hours. His nesting instincts are in full swing, and his energy has suddenly returned, so that means cleaning every inch of the house he can reach. It’s just breaking into dawn, the world losing its blanket of deep blue, warming into something softer, more golden. “Good morning,” Eddie rumbles, voice timbre from sleep and disuse throughout the night.
Buck hums softly, leaning into Eddie as he lifts the weight off his stomach, giving him relief. “G’mornin’,”

“You know,” Eddie says as if they were already in the middle of a conversation. “Watching you handle all of that gear? Almost makes me forget how clumsy you can be.”
Buck glances at him, brow furrowing. “Thanks?”
Eddie grins, unbothered by Buck’s confusion. “It’s a compliment,”
“I’m flattered,” Buck says in a deadpan tone. He tries to act like he doesn’t care, but his ears are hot. He knows they’re red at the tips.
“Never noticed how good you are with your hands, though,” Eddie says in a low, gravelly voice.
Buck fumbles with the hose a little bit, but his instincts kick in and he catches it.
OR
When Eddie comes back from Texas, he starts flirting with Buck. Buck, believing that Eddie is straight, starts to go insane about it.
