I had never been that kind of person who falls in love easily. I always thought love makes us weak, that it manipulates your mind and controls your decisions. It tricks you into making mistakes and that was something I couldn’t afford in what I did. Ian always told me falling in love with the wrong person could ruin everything. He was my brother and the only person I ever really trusted but he was also one of the most dangerous people alive and I was his partner. We ruled one of the biggest military organizations in the world, the IRA. He stood in foreground while I made sure that everything went well. Together, we were invincible. We once promised each other that we would always have each other’s back and I hold on to that. I never thought that I’d be the one to break that promise one day. Never would I have thought that he would become my biggest enemy and all because of woman. A woman that showed me what real love is and that it only makes us stronger.
